Celmira's first Birthday Party

The first year of Celmira is just one of the many milestones we are blessed with..... One of the most important events me and Assad would remember the day when we celebrated Celmira's first birthday party.....and to help with the celebration, we invited a small crowd of family and friends for a birthday party .....Getting prepared for this eventful day was exciting......Sending out invitations, arranging for venue,decorations, party favors for the children, and most importantly, choosing what kind of cake to get...... As always, we were determined to be organised...this day will be a memorable one for Assad and myself..... we hope when celmira grows older, she can look back at the photos and remember the celebrations with us......

Today 23 march 2009 is Celmira's First Birthday....we were waiting for this day from the time she was born...like every parents...its only once in a lifetime...

Your first birthday is quite a milestone event..... While you will never remember the first year of your life, but as a Mom, I will never forget the sleepless nights, the cutest facial expressions and the feelings I felt every time you did something new...Time flies so fast, isnt it........and walking down memory lane It has been an amazing year.....I have learned something new every day....wish you a good health and lots of love from mamma and daddy...

Youth of India...Jago re....!

I feel ashamed, annoyed and angry with comments of varun gandhi.... Are all the administration dead? why they have to wait for a communal violance?... He is the ugly side of gandhi family....It is just pitiful that varun Gandhi has made such statements..... Being an educated man as he is i'm guessing has made statements like that.... Not even showing respect for elders.... Is that what Indian culture has taught you?... Its a matter of personal feeling for your country... If a young Indian, that too being the son of Menaka Gandhi ( I have always respected her for what she has stood for ), makes a statement like that, where does that leave the rest of India?.... Did he actually think of the repercussions?... Or did Menaka Gandhi not teach him that every Indian is an Indian.... Not classed into Hindus, Muslims or Christians or sikhs or anyother religion for that matter but, as Indians..... Being an educated youth of India, he should be ASHAMED of his himself... What has education taught him?...To be hateful of others? Whats the point in being educated? ....You should be ashamed of yourself. .... if we want to make our country sone ki chidiya again people like you should be severely punished for making such hated statement against any religion....

Celmira's first birthday invitation...

So in celebration to our little daughter's first birthday party...I am happy to announce my very first invitation to you all... Celmira's first birthday party which we will be hosting ON 27th March' 09..her actual birthday is on 23rd March. Here's the Invitation ready to go in only a few hours...
It took us almost 2 weeks to draft this invitation...and thanks Ishmeen for designing it....

one of my best days...8

Today was one of my best days,.... The day when I almost had it all together.... I got up, ate a healthy breakfast, exercised, showered, got Celmira ready for the day,..... and did a whole morning of productive work.... I felt great.... I thought, "Yes, I finally balanced everything. It can be done,...wow! "You can not do it all,....and it is okay!... Every day is about choices..... What can I get done today?.... What do I want to get done today?....There is a lot of balancing and juggling in our personal lives to do important work we have dedicated ourselves to....So friends have a good day!!!

First of all, I am so sorry for not being in touch.... But the last week has been tough... Trying to juggle with a whole lot of things...oooh 12 days to go!!! ....Lots happening, so excited to share it with you all........Yes yes soon I will write more about it... This is something we have been waiting for a very long time ’cause I know how important it is to each one of us.... Okay, okay! I’m not going to say anymore, but you’ll know in exactly two weeks what I’ve been waiting about....Can’t wait till it kicks off!!!...Rushing now, will keep you posted…

Are we funding terorrism..?

Generally surfing... just read an article on Indiatimes, & asked Arshi 2 write a blog abt it, she said y don't u.. and thus its me here..

Infact the CD wala who comes to my building also confirmed that the CDs come from Pakistan & Malaysia, and I believe these are the same CDs which wld be available in Bombay streets as well.. Recently, we had started buying CDs rather than going to movie halls (as part of cost cutting in recession), but think we will wait for those CDs to be released officially, or maybe download for free, though illegal atleast better than funding terrorism..

Infact few years back, I was contemplating boycotting everything Pakistani, (wld apply to paki cab drivers as well now), as some part of everyones earnings always goes into charity or otherwise which would inturn fund terrorism which is so inherently built into the economy.. Well this maybe a little impractical & difficult, since dont have a car in Dubai.. But will definitely stop buying these pirated CDs..
