Hi Assad here..
Generally surfing... just read an article on Indiatimes, & asked Arshi 2 write a blog abt it, she said y don't u.. and thus its me here..
The link to the article is below:
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/India/Film-piracy-funding-terror/articleshow/4237371.cms
Key extract:
"The moment a film is released in Mumbai, the 'D-Company' makes camera prints and sends them to Karachi or Kuala Lumpur where millions of DVDs are made and marketed across the world"
Infact the CD wala who comes to my building also confirmed that the CDs come from Pakistan & Malaysia, and I believe these are the same CDs which wld be available in Bombay streets as well.. Recently, we had started buying CDs rather than going to movie halls (as part of cost cutting in recession), but think we will wait for those CDs to be released officially, or maybe download for free, though illegal atleast better than funding terrorism..
Infact few years back, I was contemplating boycotting everything Pakistani, (wld apply to paki cab drivers as well now), as some part of everyones earnings always goes into charity or otherwise which would inturn fund terrorism which is so inherently built into the economy.. Well this maybe a little impractical & difficult, since dont have a car in Dubai.. But will definitely stop buying these pirated CDs..
What say you...???

The Dubai Mall
Yesterday we visited one of the largest Malls in the world....The Dubai Mall. As always, out here, it just has to be the biggest or break some sort of world record . . . though that half of the space is still empty....lotz of shops have still not opened... It is huge though and you really do need a map to navigate your way around...we saw the Dubai Mall Aquarium! It is amazing.....especilly the
discovery center is beautiful ...we were lost in the rainforest...well i had only read about rain forest..but it was breathtaking... the indoor aquarium has a viewing tunnel through the middle,...It has like around 80 species or marine life including sharks, stingray, beautiful and ugly fish!...assad wut say about piranha...!!! If you just want to see the aquarium you pay 25aed per adult or 50aed if you want to visit the Discovery Centre upstairs as well. However, though first impressions of the Discovery Centre is pretty good, some nice fish in large aquariums with good educational guides, further round you come to extremely small enclosures withotters, penguins and seals....Initially, Celmira was actually quite scared - some of the fish are quite big and I suppose for a small person, this could be quite scary.... But thn celi really started enjoying them...At first we walked around it checking it out from the outside and there were so many people standing outside watching. It is not complete, but they have done a very good job of opening a good varied selection of stores and food outlets...like Taco Bell...whr we had nacho swith dip and soft chicken tacos...it was worth the money .... The indoor ice rink is good even if you just want to stop and watch the people skating and falling on their way....overall.... we
had a good weekend.. looking forward to plan next one...he he

Me blogging, thoughts wandering, smsing ppl..... and im struck by a thought.... the intensity of love ..... giving everything u have and expecting nothing in return. wiling to give up everything to be with the person and feel as if u are gaining the world. caring about the person beyond anyone or anything else...I love u Assad..
uhhh gtalk is is not working for some reason. i feel cut off from the world. i feel as if my day is not complete if i havent logged on to gtalk..... even if i dont chat to anyone, i need to be logged on at least. i guess its not so much talking to people, i mean if i want to do that i can call up a friend.... its more of just being around people i know and not necessarily talking.....and right now im in the mood to be around people and since im at home the only way i can do that is by logging on to gtalk.... WHICH IS NOT HAPPENING!!!!!!
