Assad is very busy with his new projects, travelling everyday from Dubai to Abudhabi..infact itz been only 1 week the project has started and it will go on for more 9 months. we have hardly spend not more than few hours in this week...and we are just wondering how will we make up with this hectic schedule. Now how you define this issue of time is very important.. there is a difference between being in the same space with your partner and actually spending time . In this hectic schedule more and more of us are not making the time to nurture our relationships with one another. We tell ourselves and sometimes each other that we will spend time together once we get done with this project or when we reach a certain financial level or pretty soon, or (fill in the blank). Pretty soon we find we are just existing together and as more and more issues pile up in our relationship .. Now this doesn't have to be anything elaborate or even involve a lot of planning but it does have to be intentional\...Assad and I have recently discovered the new freedom that comes when he comes home..He makes it a point to spend atleast an hour with me and Celmira before sleeping... talk together, check in, and enjoy time together. I can't tell you the impact this has had on our relationship. We actually miss the times when there was so much time after his work hours..but for now this routine is working for us..Thanks Assad..I know you are so tired and sleepy after ahectic day but you do realize the importance of spending quality time as a family... We basically talk about what is happening in our lives, how Celmira is doing, what we need to accomplish for the week,... I learn so much from what Assad is learning in his time .. I also ask him to help me with issues in my life that I need to work on and he does the same with me... What are some of the ways you spend time together as a couple? Leave a comment on this post to collect some ideas to share with one another....

We dream to be at home in a foreign land, But we know we are outsiders! I miss the simple wada pav which is available in any road side stall back home, We get the same wada, but not what i would get in Mumbai.
We get shawarma( Arabic bread filled chicken or mutton fillets and onion,etc).... Now I Have one shawarma atleast a week to forget about the wada pav.... But the memory still lingers, I see to it that whenever I am in Mumbai I have atleast couple of wada pavs When I will feel as insider in Dubai??????

IFly Dubai

Last week Assad took me out for surprise date...IFly Dubai in Mirdiff city center...skydiving experience..It's a great experience you basically go into a vertical wind tunnel and the instructor holds on to you and then may let you go for a bit - then the second time around he holds on to you and takes you high into the chamber above. There are upto 5-6 people so you rotate and go into the tunnel for a few minutes and you will have 2 rides.. It is honestly long enough to be in the chamber as the wind is very strong and I suppose it feels like sky diving (haven't done this myself though) without any falling sensation in your stomach.... Before you do it, they give you a quick briefing and you watch a small film and they tell you the position to adopt and the hand signals the instructor will use. Then you get dressed up in the flight suit, helmet, shoes, goggles, etc. before you go in...hmmm...Next time Assad will try it...
